Andale Bearings 8mm Swiss Silver / White Includes Tin Box
New Andal̩e Swiss Bearing KitWhite / Red
The New Andal̩e Swiss:Not all bearings are created equal. Andale ProRated Swiss were designed and engineered in Switzerland and are manufactured at its factory in China. What makes the ProRated Swiss so good? It starts with using a superior quality chromium steel alloy for the balls and races precision machined and polished to a surface roughness below 0.1 microns. The smoother the polish means less friction for quicker acceleration and higher top speed. Balls are rated by their grade. Andale Pro Rated Swiss use grade 5 which means the balls have a 5/1,000,000 of an inch tolerance of being a true sphere. This perfection also decreases friction to reduce internal wear and again maximize speed and acceleration. The cage was engineered to withstand all abuse from skateboarding. Because the cage is a crucial component to maximize durability and protect a bearing from failure, it not only had to be strengthened in critical areas but a proper material blend of nylon and fiberglass had to be determined. The ProRated Swiss uses a removable frictionless rubber shield for easy cleaning. And to achieve the best performance from a bearing, it‰۪s imperative to keep them free of dirt and debris. The inner race has a step machined in it so the rubber shield overlaps to keep the oil in and keep dirt from getting into the bearings increasing wear and reducing speed. The bearings are lubricated with specially-formulated synthetic oil that adheres to the components in a thin layer for protection against wear and corrosion. The ProRated Swiss was built for maximum speed.
Strap in, because these Swiss bearings by Andale are pre-lubricated for a smooth, fast ride. Warehouse Skateboards offers the standard size (608 with an 8mm core, 22mm outer diameter, and 7mm width) and each set of Andale Bearings 8mm Swiss Silver / White Includes Tin Box contains eight (8) bearings, which is enough for four (4) wheels.

All skateboard bearings are the same size, so you don't need to worry about size when selecting bearings.
Skateboard bearings are used to mount the skateboard wheels to the skateboard axle. Skateboard bearings are all the same size and will fit any skateboard wheel that Warehouse Skateboards sells.
While they do not vary in size, they do vary in quality. The rule of thumb tends to be that the more expensive the skateboard bearings, the higher the quality. Cheaper bearings are typically made of lower quality materials, which can get deformed or break completely under the pressure of skateboarding. Inexpensive bearings may also not be sealed as well, resulting in dirt and debris in your bearings that will slow your board down dramatically. The more expensive skateboard bearings are sealed, with higher precession machining, and higher-quality metals. They will remain fast and precise over time with proper maintenance.
Most bearings are measured by an ABEC rating. The higher the ABEC rating, the more accurate and precise the bearing will be. This rating system includes grades 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9. The ABEC rating does not specify many critical factors, such as load handling capabilities, ball precision, materials, material Rockwell hardness, degree of ball and raceway polishing, noise, vibration, and lubricant. Due to these factors, an ABEC 3 classified bearing could perform better than an ABEC 7 bearing.
Many companies do not use the ABEC rating scale, such as Bones Bearings. Bones Bearings uses their own rating system known as Skate Rated. These bearings do not follow the ABEC ratings because they are superior in quality and the ABEC rating ignores many quality factors in which Bones Bearings prides itself.
