Element Skateboards History

Element Skateboards is a highly successful skateboard company based in Irvine, California. Its roots were originally planted in Atlanta, Georgia in 1992 under the name Underworld Element. Commonly known as U.E. or Underworld, the company began to grow and change pace. So did the company name. The decision was made to drop Underworld, and it became known simply as Element.

Element Skateboards adopted the principles of martial arts and the purities that were associated with it. They wanted to separate themselves as a company from their competition by making it a universal company that all people could personally identify with. They began to focus their attention on the future of the brand; what it represented and the way the world perceived it.

In an effort to shine a positive light on the global skateboarding community, Element Skateboards created the masterful Department of Elementology. With the idea of designing innovative and quality products that promote an environmentally-friendly skate culture, Element created programs such as Elemental Awareness and Element Endangered.

Element Skateboards Construction Technology

  • Element Skateboards decks are built using a unique construction process to develop the different model characteristics respected by so many skateboarders.
  • Element Push skateboard features a Featherlight Helium deck with carbon fiber inlay. The epoxy inlay provides added strength and helps to displace shock. The Element Push is a definite choice for high impact skateboarding.
  • Element Featherlight Helium skateboard deck incorporates five patented air frame chambers making it the lightest full size deck while maintaining the stiff and responsive feel. The Element Featherlight skateboard has set the industry standard for premium construction design with performance concave and thinner veneers compared to other models.
  • Element Fiberlight skateboard is the thinnest full size board with a fiberglass inlay. The Fiberlight deck helps to shift energy away from the breaking point while providing preloaded tension for better pop.
  • Element Thriftwood skateboard is made with traditional seven maple ply for a thicker and stiffer feel and great value.
  • Element TWIG skateboard is the thinnest and lightest deck and scaled down to fit the littlest rippers.
