Black Label Skateboards History

Black Label Skateboards is a California-based company and was founded by John Lucero in the early 90s. The company has two major divisions: Label Legends and Emergency. The Label Legends team is comprised of veteran pro skateboarders that were previously on Black Labels Skateboards main team roster. The Emergency division features legendary pros such as Duane Peters, Jeff Grosso, John Lucero, Omar Hassan, Jimmy the Greek, and Tyler Mumma. Black Label Skateboards has proved to remain as progressive as it was since their introduction into the skateboard industry.

Black Label Skateboards Construction Technology

Black Label Skateboards offers a variety of skateboard decks that are designed for all skaters from entry-level all the way up to the professional skateboard level.

• Black Light is a maximum strength, minimum weight deck. This 7-ply deck is lighter, thinner, and stronger than the industry standard because of its varying laminated thickness.
• Powerbeam is all about the “Power.” This deck is structurally stiffer due to its vertically laminated wood core. With this it adds an overall consistent, long-lasting pop.
• Blackhole is a manufactured construction design that helps to eliminate wheel bite.
• Econoline is a 7-ply skate deck that gives skaters quality and the latest design in the skate industry.
