Zero Skateboards History

Zero Skateboards was originally started in 1996 as a clothing company by pro skaters Anthony Freiberg and Jamie “The Chief” Thomas. At the time, Freiberg and Thomas were skateboarding professionally for Toy Machine. The Zero Skateboard brand eventually evolved into a fully legit skateboard company with Thomas leaving Toy Machine and becoming Zero's first pro.

The Zero Skateboard team has progressed into a powerhouse of skateboarders gaining podium spots in highlighted comps. Zero pro Chris Cole won the 2005 S.O.T.Y. (Skateboarder of the Year) Award. The team also claimed three consecutive wins at Thrasher Magazine’s King of the Road competition from 2004 to 2006. They’ve since moved on from the King of the Road comp and joined forces in 2007 with their extended family, the Mystery Skateboards team, to start the "Black and White Tour." Zero Skateboards is a part of the Black Box Distribution family, along with Mystery Skateboards, Slave Skateboards, and Fallen Footwear.

Zero Skateboards Construction Technology

Zero Skateboards has a full selection of skateboards decks that fit a wide range of riders. Zero Skateboards goes against the grain. They do not incorporate special technology into the decks. They have incorporated one element on their Dura-Slick decks -slick coated bottoms for better sliding capabilities. Zero Skateboards have followed the traditional skateboard construction methods.
