Foundation Skateboards HistoryFoundation Skateboards was created in 1989. The company sponsors a talented pool of both amateur and professional skaters often featured in magazines and videos. They are seen traveling during global tours and competing in skate contests. Foundation Skateboards thrives on creating innovative skateboard products and supporting the skateboard culture. The Foundation brand is housed under the Tum Yeto distribution company and is also the sister company of Toy Machine Skateboards, Pig Wheels, Ruckus Metal Trucks, Deathbox, and Dekline Shoes. The Foundation Skateboard label came up with a creative idea back in 1996 to build the World’s Biggest Skateboard. It took some years to build but was finally completed and big enough to capture the official Guinness World Record on October 4, 2004. The giant wood skateboard is 10 feet long, 4 feet wide, and 3 feet tall. It has fully functioning trucks and bushings with a double kick deck. The wheels are imitation Crager dubs with low profile tread. It has made appearances at the Goofy vs. Regular Contest as well as on the TV show, Ripley’s Believe It or Not. Foundation Skateboards Construction TechnologyFoundation has a wide variety of skateboard designs and graphics suitable for all skateboarding styles.
