Darkstar Skateboards History

Darkstar Skateboards began in 1997 as a skateboard wheel company. It has since expanded its operations into a full blown board company with a solid list of professional skaters. Chet Thomas is the founder along with his brother Matt. They currently operate under the Dwindle Distribution label.

Darkstar Skateboards Consruction Technology

• Darkstar Armor Ply skateboard decks are guaranteed against warping, delamination, and breakage.
• Darkstar Armor Light skateboard decks are made with exclusive carbon technology. The C.2 technology has 2 times more fiber content for additional strength. They use 7 ultra light maple veneers making it one of the lightest decks. Darkstar Skateboards guarantees these decks against warping, delamination, and breakage. Step into the Darkness!
• Resin 7-ply skateboard decks are stronger than the typical industry standard water-based adhesive. The resin-epoxy decks are lighter weight and benefit the rider by providing more pop with added stiffness. The deck uses 6 epoxy resin bonds.
• Resin 9-ply skateboard decks are similar in construction to the resin 7-ply except that it has added more ply wood to the deck construction. It adds strength for the skater that rides hard all the time. The deck uses 8 epoxy resin bonds.
