I bet you didn’t know Stephen Colbert was also a pro skater along with his many other talents. During last weeks Colbert Report on Comedy Central during the “Better Know a District” segment with Congress Representative Jackie Speier of California 12th, the two decided to make a YouTube Video of the pair skating down the hallway (Time 5:20). Jim McGovern and Patrick Kennedy also wanted to join in on the fun. YouTube headquarters are actually headquartered in Jackie Speiers district.

“In early 2008, we introduced a standardized color scheme for all of our Seismic-brand wheels,” said Seismic founder and owner Dan Gesmer. “Translucent orange soft, blue medium, purple hard and (sometimes) black smoke extra-hard.”

“Ever since then, I’ve wanted to offer our classic 3DM-brand shapes in the same colors, but using beautiful clear urethane. And we’ve finally done it!”

The 62mm Cambria, 68mm Avalon, and 75mm Avila are now all available in clear orange, clear blue and clear purple, as well as clear vintage red.

“Since the 75mm Avila is so popular among racers and carvers,” Gesmer added, “we’ve also introduced this shape in three new color/duro combinations featuring our high-performance Black Ops™ urethane”: 77A translucent blue, 81A translucent purple, and 85A translucent black “smoke.”

You can get the 3DM Cambria now at Warehouse Skateboards.

Warehouse Skateboards has decided to put out our own 7-ply Canadian skateboard decks for purchase. They will be available in 7.5” X 31.5”, 7.75” X 32”, and 8.0” X 32”. We are also going to offer these sizes in complete set-ups. These decks should be available in the next couple of weeks. Please give us feedback on what you think of our first graphic!

Congratulations Carlos for winning the contest. Carlos is a 15 year old from Venezuela who is an avid surfer and skater. His video is pretty impressive, check it out below. Glad to see that kids in Venezuela at that age know about The Doors!

Life is good for Durham and surrounding skaters. A new concrete park is being constructed in Durham, NC and will be open for use on November 7th. SkateNC has a couple pictures of the new park in construction, the bowl looks like a blast! If you are in the area go to the official opening, the boys from Toy Machine will be there doing a demo.
