Bangers 4 Bucks Contest at Surf Expo

bangers cash Bangers 4 Bucks Contest at Surf Expo

Last week, ten skate shop teams from across the country squared off on the trade show floor of Surf Expo in Orlando, Florida, for the inaugural Bangers For Bucks skate contest. Brought to you by Eastern Skateboard Supply, Hurley, Vans, Kona Skatepark and Team Pain, Surf Expo’s Bangers For Bucks contest will take place on a new and specially designed course in the heart of the skateboard section of the show.

We went down to the expo last week and these guys were killing it! I would hate to be the judge for this contest, it was trick for trick. These guys were basically all Pro’s and you could tell this by their skating.  Below is the 1st and 2nd place shops with their crew.

1st place
Progressive Skatepark — Canton, Georgia
Team Manager – Mike DeLuca
Soloman Mosley Jr.
Joey Pellegrino
Fletcher Renegar
Josh Butler
Kyle Register
Kris Markovich

2nd place
Modern Skate Shop – Michigan
Team Manager – Steve Darling
Joe “Dirt” Siemianowski
Mark Davenport
Johnny Cleary
Dustin Blauvelt
Anthony Shelter

Always Good to See New Skate Parks in the NC

Life is good for Durham and surrounding skaters. A new concrete park is being constructed in Durham, NC and will be open for use on November 7th. SkateNC has a couple pictures of the new park in construction, the bowl looks like a blast! If you are in the area go to the official opening, the boys from Toy Machine will be there doing a demo.
