A normal Saturday of looking for a friend to skate with lead Warehouse Skateboards team rider Kyle Wilkerson to a surprise skate contest at Etnies Skatepark in Lake Forest, CA. Kyle managed to get to the skatepark just as the warm-up practice round was starting. Fortunately, Kyle skates at Etnies often and it didn’t take long for him to get a run dialed in and feeling comfortable. After a great first run, Kyle had a 5 minute jam followed by a 2nd run of 45 seconds, a strange format but that didn’t waiver Kyle’s momentum. Kyle ended up taking 1st place in his age group that was made up of several very good local kids.

Celebrating his win, Kyle headed over to one of his favorite spots around town to skate some fun gaps and stairs. This weekend is his last CASL contest of the year at Woodward, a place he loves to skate at. We wish him the best of luck this coming Saturday as he heads to Woodward to bring home a win to close out the year!
